The patriarch of the family, John Abbe, was a wealthy cotton planter who ruled his family with an iron fist. His wife, Sarah, was a devout Christian who struggled to keep the peace within her troubled household.

The Abbe children were a diverse and troubled group. The eldest son, William, was a brilliant but unstable alcoholic who harbored a deep resentment for his father. The middle son, John Jr., was a meek and mild-mannered man who was dominated by his older brother.

The youngest daughter, Mary, was a beautiful and ambitious woman who married a wealthy widower named William Miller. However, Mary's marriage was unhappy, and she soon found herself drawn to her brother, William.

As the years passed, the tensions within the Abbe family grew more and more intense. William's alcoholism spiraled out of control, and he became increasingly violent towards his family. John Jr. became withdrawn and depressed, haunted by his brother's cruelty.

In 1904, the unthinkable happened. William murdered his father in cold blood. John Jr. and Mary were horrified, but they were too terrified of William to report his crime.

William's reign of terror continued for years. He murdered his mother, his sister-in-law, and two of his own nephews. The bodies were buried in the family plot, and the Abbe family's secrets remained hidden.

Finally, in 1911, William's crimes were discovered. He was arrested and put on trial for the murders of his family members. The trial was a sensation, and the nation was shocked by the gruesome details of the case.

William was found guilty and sentenced to death. He was executed in 1913, and the Abbe family was finally able to find peace.

The True Story of Southern Family Pride, Madness, and Multiple Murder is a gripping and horrifying tale of a family torn apart by greed, madness, and unspeakable violence. It is a story that will stay with you long after you finish reading it.
