In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war. The Imperium of Man is a vast and ancient empire, but it is beset on all sides by enemies. The forces of Chaos seek to overthrow the Imperium and plunge the galaxy into darkness, while the alien races of the galaxy are a constant threat.
In this time of darkness, the Space Marines are the Imperium's greatest hope. These elite warriors are genetically enhanced and trained from birth to be the ultimate fighting force. They are loyal to the Emperor of Mankind, and they will fight to the death to protect the Imperium.
Urdesh: The Magister and the Martyr is a novel set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The story follows two very different Space Marines as they fight against the enemies of the Imperium.
The first is Magister Artorian, a member of the Space Wolves Chapter. The Space Wolves are known for their ferocity and their close ties to the wolves of Fenris. Artorian is a skilled warrior and a wise leader. He is also a devout follower of the Emperor, and he believes that the Space Marines are the only hope for the Imperium.
The second is Brother-Captain Cadmus, a member of the Imperial Fists Chapter. The Imperial Fists are known for their discipline and their unwavering loyalty to the Emperor. Cadmus is a skilled tactician and a brave warrior. He is also a pragmatist, and he knows that the Imperium can only be saved through strength and unity.
Artorian and Cadmus are both loyal servants of the Imperium, but they have very different views on how to best protect it. Artorian believes that the Space Marines should be a force of liberation, fighting against the enemies of the Imperium wherever they may be found. Cadmus, on the other hand, believes that the Space Marines should focus on defending the Imperium's core worlds.
These two different views will lead Artorian and Cadmus into conflict with each other, but they will also have to learn to work together if they want to save the Imperium from its enemies.
Urdesh: The Magister and the Martyr is a gripping tale of war, honor, and sacrifice. It is a story that will appeal to fans of Warhammer 40,000 and to anyone who enjoys a good science fiction story.
